I found these old charts of my cycles while “cleaning out” my computer files….posting it here because I never, ever want to forget what a hopefully organized girl I was who was willing to work so hard for my family or the innocent time when I thought this was going to be the worst of the struggle.

December 2010 Still birth at 20 weeks   gestation due to abruption.  Specialist   says there may have been cervical problems.

2011 Cycles

June 2011 FET – two embryos   transferred, negative beta
October 2011 FET scheduled for October   17 for the last two “medium” quality embryos.

January 19 CD 3 11:40 –Dr.Ahlering – antral follicle count(afc) and 16  blood tests!Recommendations:-ultrasound found total of 3 follicles, this is very low and does not recommend going forward with   IVF.  6% or lower chance of being   successful.

-recommends donor egg if at all

-found polyp in uterus, should be removed if attempting pregnancy

-blood test results will probably back up follicle count findings

-Feb. 12 phone consult to give test results and options

January 20 CD 4
January 21 CD 5 3:15 appt w/ Dr. Dalla Riva-He will remove polyp on   Jan. 29-He will talk to Dr. A. to see if he can get more info. sooner

-Recommended Dr. Pinada for second opinion

-said I’d be at a small higher risk for gest. Diabetes etc if I became pregnant due to my weight but that I’m healthy and there’s no reason I shouldn’t have a healthy pregnancy if I go forward with donor egg

-he will try to email Dr. A and forward info.

-encouraged going forward w/ donor egg/donor sperm

-Said fresh or frozen eggs would be about the same chance at success

-said HE didn’t believe my weight would affect outcome of IVF but it was up for debate

-I should contact Darci at Footsteps to Family and Mary at SIRM to get started

  1. Wow! You were so organized. As organized as I became was to start the blog. It is amazing the naive optimism that we all had when we started. It’s hard to hold onto any optimism at all after a while.

  2. It always amazes me how fast referrals seem in the US. Not really like that here.

    I have loads of stuff like this and tons of paper. I think if I would have had a baby it would be easier to get rid of. I think I keep it because it makes it seem real somehow. Otherwise sometimes my infertility seems like it happened to someone else and I just read about it.
